well i went out and bought HL2 today and I have to say it runs excellent on my PC. single player is mind blowing....
as soon as HL2DM was dl'd i gave it a shot.... freakin awesome
just sucks that i am total nub on it =D |

yea, hl2 is great, one thing that bugs me is most srvrs have sys_ticrate 66 on HL2. maybe this is better for HL2, i realy don't know...but default in hl1 is 100. this svr setting limmits fps svr can send to client (it is more complicated, but that a true and simple explanation).
anyway, i was thinking that is why it feels slower than hl1. maybe? i am clueless  . |

The speed doesn't seem that slow... I think TWC server is a little faster paced than most, though. - I don't like the crossbow very much but its fun to use, the bows travel too slow.
Everyone spams the grav gun can get annoying but fun nonetheless...
no longjump sucks and i miss the tau cannon
another thing is i notice most of the populated servers are all killbox type maps it gets boring =P |
